- First sketches are presented. (See below.) The design is simple yet functional. The hut can accommodate 10 people. Mattresses and blankets will be present. However, there is no heater in the hut.

- Arjen is gathering a group of people and sponsors for this project. Soon a foundation will be established and a working group will be formed.

- The president of the "Guides de Valpelline" (GdV), Mr. Maurizio Gaillard, has been informed of the plan to build a bivouac in the Valpelline valley. He is madly enthusiastic about it.
For this project, the GdV, financially depend on the City of Bionaz and the Val d'Aosta Region. Mr. Gaillard lets us know that these two parties have promised to pay a large part of the building costs.
Transportation (by helicopter) of the construction materials will be arranged by and for account of the GdV.
